Blood Lead Resources for the General Public

The resources listed below provide tips and recommendations on how to keep you and your family safe from blood lead poisoning. Please contact your local health department with further questions or concerns.
There are additional sources for lead exposure (such as consumer products, folk remedies and hobbies). The following resources provide information about these and other sources:
Salt Lake County Lead Safe Housing Program
If you:
  • live in a house or rental unit built before 1978,
  • are pregnant or have children under the age of 6 living or visiting your home, or
  • have a household income at or below the qualifying level
You may qualify for assistance to make your home lead safe for children. To apply, visit the Safe Housing Program website or call (385) 468-4892 for more information.
